Code of Conduct for Lineage
To provide players with good service quality and enhance interaction between the Company and players to improve gaming quality, players should be familiar with and comply with the game administration rules below. These rules may be amended due to specific service updates or upgrades. Please check regularly and comply with the rules.
1. The Company has the authority to “establish, change or delete” Game Administration Rules. The contents of Game Administration Rules may be amended due to specific service update or upgrade. Players should check them regularly. The Company will not compensate any player’s loss or damage due to lack of knowledge about the published changes in game administration rules.
2. In applying for an account, players must duly register their personal data. If the personal data submitted by the player are false or if the data are not updated in time, the Company may not be able to provide relevant services. The Company may also temporarily suspend the players’ membership and the right to use the services before player data are updated.
3. It is strictly prohibited for players to engage in fraud by impersonating official staff (such as GM, customer service staff, Gamania) to commit fraud, make inappropriate statements or otherwise interfere with the normal gaming of other players. In case of breach, the gaming account will be locked temporarily. Please contact official staff. After multiple warnings, if no improvement is made or if it is officially determined that there has been a serious breach of the game administration rules, the gaming agreement will be terminated.
4. It is prohibited to create an avatar with an inappropriate name (such as GM, customer service staff, or Gamania) or special characters (to mislead players, imply pornography, personal attack, indecent term, breach of social morals, etc.) In case of breach, the gaming account will be locked temporarily. Please contact official staff. After multiple warnings, if no improvement is made or if it is officially determined that there has been a serious breach of the game administration rules, the gaming agreement will be terminated.
5. It is prohibited to intentionally sabotage, hack, revise or crack any “Lineage” system, server or user-end data. it is also prohibited to use any other program or software to influence the operation of the game. In case of breach, the Company will terminate the Game Service Agreement and will pursue relevant legal liabilities of the offender.
6. Any player who discovers a bug or any other issue in the game should notify official staff as soon as possible by using the “Notice Letter” on the official website. It is strictly prohibited to accept from any player any object acquired through system bug, nor shall any bug be used to engage in any act that may jeopardize the balance of the game or to impact the interest of other players. It is also prohibited to transmit or distribute such news in public or in private. If a player uses any bug or loophole in the system to generate anomalous ability, experience value, avatar data, object or any phenomenon that cannot be generated under normal gaming, the Company has the right to suspend the right to use the account temporarily. The account user should visit or call the customer service staff to provide relevant explanation. If the avatar possesses illegal props or anomalous avatar data and if the unlawful interest cannot be recovered due to the seriousness of the situation, the player should cooperate with the customer service staff to perform stock-take of the relevant anomalous account during the temporary account suspension period until the data in the user account is corrected, or accept all reinstatement of the avatar in the account or similar action to turn them into brand-new avatars. In case of breach, the Company will temporarily lock the account and the player should provide cooperation in the process. In serious cases, the Company has the right to terminate the Game Service Agreement.
7. Players shall not make inappropriate statements in the game, including but not limited to the publication or transmission of any slandering, false, threatening, indecent, obscene, unlawful information or any information that infringes upon any other person’s intellectual property right, nor shall there be any act similar to advertising or the sale of merchandise. We prohibit terrorist organizations, violent extremists, and hate organizations from using our platform, and we do not tolerate, promote, or assist any content of violent extremism or terrorism. Hate speech or content that is demeaning, slandering or instigating discrimination or violence based on race, skin color, caste, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sexual orientation, gender, gender identification, disability or veteran status, immigration status, social and economic status, age, weight or pregnancy. In case of breach, the gaming account will be locked temporarily. Please contact official staff. After multiple warnings, if no improvement is made or if it is officially determined that there has been a serious breach of the game administration rules, the gaming agreement will be terminated.
8. It is prohibited to trade or exchange any game account or prop (including advertisement) for real money or any object of value in the game, nor shall there be any personal transaction. If the player suffers any loss due to personal transaction, there shall be no official compensation. In case of any issue with any point or virtual prop acquired by the player through non-official channel, the player shall be solely responsible and the Company will not be able to handle the issue.
9. All movements of the player’s avatar in the game constitute gaming behavior. In case of any dispute, based on the neutral position of game operation, the administrator shall not intervene excessively. Players shall resolve the dispute based on gaming etiquette and morality. However, if the event is serious and has an impact on the normal proceeding of the game, the GM reserves the final right of decision and will decide whether or not to intervene. In case of breach, the gaming account will be locked temporarily. Please contact official staff. After multiple warnings, if no improvement is made or if it is officially determined that there has been a serious breach of the game administration rules, the gaming agreement will be terminated.
10. In case of object transaction, fraud or fraudulent account use in the course of the game or any other event that involves civil or criminal liability, the Company may restrict the player’s gaming account and use of relevant services pursuant to the requirement of the judicial authority, including temporary lockage of the account and provision of gaming histories, etc. The same is applicable to any gaming in breach of fair and reasonable manner or any behavior that is deemed criminal or suspicious of criminal offense.
11. When a player is locked due to a breach of the gaming agreement, administration rules or other rules of the Company, the player may call or send a complaint letter to Gamania’s customer service center within one month to seek re-verification. If no claim is filed before the deadline, the player shall be deemed to have agreed to the Company’s judgment and handling and the GM will no longer answer any question of such type, nor shall any relevant record be maintained.
12. The products or services provided by the Company, including but not limited to virtual equipment, electromagnetic records, etc., are owned by the Company or the relevant right holder. You understand and agree to use such virtual equipment in normal and general manners based on the configurations used in the game until such virtual equipment ceases to exist naturally or termination of the gaming service. Upon expiry of the term or satisfaction of the condition, you agree that the Company will not be able to provide any subsequent handling of such products or services, including but not limited to virtual equipment, including but not limited to extending the period of use of the products or services, indemnification, compensation or provision of other similar products or services.
13. You agree that the products or services you purchase (including but not limited to virtual props) may not be able to be used as originally configured due to system, program considerations, or other reasons. If your right to use is damaged as a result, unless it is due to a reason imputable to the Company, you agree that the Company will not be able to compensate or indemnify such damage or loss. If the damage is imputable to the Company, you agree to the Company’s standard manner of indemnification or compensation and shall not raise any objection.
14. When a member has any anomalous behavior in the game, including but not limited to anomalous acquisition, obtention or transfer of prop, anomalous fighting status, conversation involving theft, any illegal event or any suspected theft, to maintain the security of the gaming account of such member and other members, upon discovery of such event by official staff, such gaming accounts will be locked. If the locked account belongs to a Gamania member, the game account holder should present supporting documents that are consistent with the registered member details with Gamania and send them to Gamania’s customer service center through digital identity verification. If the locked account belongs to a Gamania member, the Gamania member should complete the procedure for “advanced certification” before contacting the Gamania customer service center. Following verification that the use of the game account is normal, without any theft or unlawful use, the member will be assisted to activate the gaming account.
15. In the course of the player’s game, if the Company discovers any gaming coin or gaming prop received or transferred from an anomalous source, to maintain account security and to avoid illegal event, the Company will freeze the account temporarily. The account holder should visit us in person within 7 days to provide an explanation. If personal visit and explanation are not made in time, the Company will deem the account in breach of fairness and reasonableness and recover the illegal profit in the game. In serious cases, the Company has the right to terminate the Game Service Agreement.
16. Sanction: The sanction manners are as follows:
Lockage of Avatar Such avatar cannot log into the game during sanction period.
Lockage of Game Account Such account cannot log into the game during sanction period.
Termination of Game Agreement. All services of the game are terminated for such account.
17. Playing the game through a plugin, virus, gaming program bug, or any other manner in breach of fairness and reasonableness shall be deemed an event of serious breach. In case of breach, the Company will give notice to the player in accordance with paragraph 2, Article 28 of the Game Service Agreement and the system will directly freeze the avatar for 7 days, upon the expiry of which such freezing will be released. If no improvement is made after warning or if it is officially determined that there is a serious breach of gaming service user agreement and game administration rules, the system will directly freeze the right to use the avatar on permanent basis.
18. “To prevent ill-intentioned persons from gaining profit from the game or stealing others’ account passcodes and electromagnetic records, players are prohibited from creating a large number of gaming accounts or logging into a large number of different gaming accounts at the same IP location or on the same device (including but not limited to using the same or similar IP or device with the same computer identification codes). If the Company detects such an event, it will restrict the right to use such an anomalous gaming account on a temporary basis. The player should contact the 24-hour customer service center and provide proof of account holding stipulated by the Company before the restriction on the account use is released. If the player breaches this article again, the Company may directly restrict the player’s right to use the gaming account.”
